Coorabell Public School is celebrating a noteworthy achievement this week. The school has sky-rocketed into the Top 100 schools in the nation, achieving 67th position (well within the top 1% of schools nationally) in the NAPLAN results. This is a huge leap from their previous position and Principal Geoff Coghlan credits this to the positive attitude and perseverance of the students, staff and wider community. Mr Coghlan says "As you may know I am not a huge fan of the way media interprets NAPLAN results as a predominant way to judge any schools achievements, however I genuinely believe that Coorabell Public is an exceptionally outstanding school in all facets and therefore it is nice to receive such positive recognition for our successes. This is the result of a truly brilliant team effort, so once again can I thank our tremendous students, terrific staff, wonderfully supportive parents and wider community and our outstanding P&C whose efforts, achievements and enthusiasm has allowed Coorabell Public to be recognised in such a positive manner."
